The Department of Electrical Engineering (Electronics & Power) was established in 1995 with intake capacity 60 students. The Department has then seen tremendous growth in all respects. The in-take capacity of the department has been increased to 120 from 2007. The UG course has been accredited by NBA for three year from 29th May 2009. Department also runs PG course (M. Tech in Industrial Drives and Control) from 2006. Department has been granted recognition as “Place for Higher Learning and Research ” leading to Phd in Electrical Engineering in the faculty of Engineering & technology for a period of five years from January 2013. The department has well equipped laboratories with modern and sophisticated equipments under MODROB proposal sanctioned by AICTE.

Electrical Department has very vibrant student’s forum (EESF) which organizes co-curricular and extracurricular activities for bringing out the hidden talents of students.
